Quirky and very readable. It makes history go down easy. I'm not finished yet, but so far I like what I see.
Cheri has written a fun history book. Although the location is not familiar to many, the irreverent humour and look at large historic figures is fascinating. Despite her admonition to skip some sections, I refused and am so glad I didn't. I surely hope she will write more, perhaps on another locale drawing out the rich and famous ;). Keep writing Cheri!
